I am all bundled up working in my studio
Back in Oakland, cold and damp, but I am in San Diego, cold and damp, 29 years later
I am making notebooks for my piece Try To
I start with a sheet of very nice drawing paper 22 x 30” & tear each sheet to make pieces that are 4.75 x 5.75”. These are folded in half. Wallpaper is torn in strips to create the cover. Nothing is cute with scissors or a paper cutter, I have both
There is something about tearing paper
It feels like graduate school
I have just as little money as I had in graduate school, maybe less, I have no credit
Interesting how things change and things remain the same
