This is my 1st visit to your site. I'm so glad I came! I love your on-going creative process. I'm sure you'll find a way to use what you've learned in the efforts relating to the project you've decided not to finish...and, Yea for you for allowing yourself to take an incomplete on this part. We don't HAVE TO do everything! Try to be gentle with yourself.
My mother's last five years of life were spent with Alzheimer's. I shared that process with two sisters. I'm open to discussion, if you ever want to talk about it. Keeping a sense of humor is critical. It sounds to me as though you're finding some positives. I'm sure your visit with your mom will be memorable.
