Today I did a hike with a co-worker and her son.

It was awesome, I really enjoyed hiking with them. Even got 3 yaya shots.

After the hike I met up to lunch at a vegetarian restaurant, which we found out has a location in our neighborhood, I picked up the new hiking boots and day pack from REI, and I am once again ready to put in some long miles.

Then I came home and Forésta helped we finish working on the front yard. Over the past 4 days there were three large trash bags and a trash bin filled with dead vegetation. And it was all racked up, and pulled by hand. No power tools, no noise, no gas or electric used.

Our front yard is coming along nicely, with succulents, and cactus I planted.

Perfect day off!
