new comfort level

Safety nets come in all sizes and materials, and the one most relied on is credit.
It was deeply ingrained in me that I must establish and maintain good credit, and I did very well with this until the Great Recession.
Now I am without credit and it has been quite an adjustment to live without this safety net.

As time goes by without this safety net, it becomes more and more comfortable.
I wonder if I should buy into that again, at some point. It might be wise to never go back there, it seems like a bad game to play.
Live without credit, could be unAmerican.
Maybe the American dream, what it means to be an American, will all change.
